I think the lemon tree is so amazing, and how it takes so long for it to develop and grow before it will bare fruit really speaks to me about life. - Alexandra
The lemon trees that grow at the Villa de Castello have been growing there for hundreds of years, and you know me, I love history and I was so inspired to feature this villa in our Italy Adventures.
๐The book we have featured today with our read aloud is one of our favourites!
โNope, No Lemonsโ by by Rafee Jajou is about a little lemon tree, who wonders when it will grow fruit. The tree learns to love itself with help from the wind, and other creatures. It is such an inspiring book for children, and makes a beautiful addition to any nature study. Pair in our Busy as a Bee Pack, and you are set!
I search for special childrenโs books to include in all our curriculum, to inspire, and ignite a desire to learn. After reading this, Claire wrote/dictated to me her own story about a lemon tree, and it was delightful. She was talking about the wind all day, and she was really feeling empowered.
I hope you have a lovely earth week this week! Stay tuned, the nature-based posts continue as we celebrate the earth and all its beauty.
