Ingredients Needed:

How to Cook Cinnamon French Toast

  1. In a bowl, add your 4 eggs, 3/4 cup of milk, 1 tsp of vanilla, and a few dashes of cinnamon. Whisk until combined.
  2. Prep your cooking space, heat your skillet to a medium-high heat, and apply a generous amount of butter, and let it melt. The butter is the secret ingredient and will turn your toast into a golden french toast.
  3. Dip your bread, one slice at a time into your batter. I let it soak to the count of 10 for each side, and tap the edge of the bread to the side of the bowl, to allow any excess batter to drip out, and then place onto a hot pan. Repeat with as many slices as you can fit nicely on your pan. This 10-inch skillet can fit 3 slices of bread, and this 12-inch skillet can fit 4.
  4. Tip* You can use any other type of bread, this is just my kids favorite, and they love it. Because it is fresh and thinly sliced, it soaks for less time and cooks faster than the traditional texas sliced bread.
  5. The cooking process can take anywhere from 3-5 minutes per side, and I like to watch this very closely, taking peaks along the way to make sure they do not burn.
  6. Once they are done, remove from the pan, place on a plate, and then dust with powdered sugar while hot.
  7. Serve right away, with some lovely Maple Syrup!

I hope you enjoyed this one, we sure love to make this recipe, and it is one we fall back on regularly, and my boys just love it!
