Make Your Own Cardboard Paint Pallets

We are starting back to Homeschool right around the corner as well as beginning the Build your masterpiece Class, so I wanted to share with you guys how to make your own cardboard paint pallets! These can come in handy with acrylic paints, and can be made really quickly! You probably have everything you need right now.

Making your own cardboard paint pallets

Supplies needed :

Cardboard; cut from an old box, I used the sides you fold and cut those off
Scissors
Pencil
Tape or Washi tape
Tin foil
Paint/Supply Caddy ( I found this one at value village)

Method for making your cardboard paint pallets: ?

First, we want to cut our cardboard, and measure to see if it can fit in your paint caddy, or any other place you will be storing them. Make Your Own Cardboard Paint Pallets Cut all cardboard pieces down to the right size.Once you have them the right size, take your tinfoil and pull out a strip of it, long enough to cover the cardboard.Fold up all the edges around your cardboard strip, and tape to secure. I found that the Washi take was perfect and really made it a tight seal. Make Your Own Cardboard Paint Pallets Once you have your first layer on, repeat that process again with another layer. You can add two or three layers of tinfoil, this will create easy cleanup and make your cardboard paint pallet more sturdy, and if the tinfoil gets a tear in it, there are a few layers underneath. Make Your Own Cardboard Paint Pallets Repeat with each strip of cardboard to have a few on hand, and this can come in handy for those impromptu painting projects that your kids come up with!Place them all inside your caddy and store away until your ready to paint a new beautiful art project.We use the Kallax shelves from IKEA, and this year we are stacking three high, together with a bookshelf and our kid's drawers in our school room to help with storage for our art time learning this year.
