Pipe Cleaner Scribble Craft for Kids ~ A Book Inspired Activity
We are creating Pipe Cleaner Scribble Crafts today while reading "I'm Not Just A Scribble" by Diane Alber, and our kids cannot get enough!
Crafting with pipe cleaners
These little things may have to be one of my kid's favourite art supplies ever, and whenever I set them out on the table, they go bonkers over them! They usually want to create all sorts of things. Today, that's exactly what we got to do, on purpose!
"Great art starts with just a scribble!" ~ Diane Alber
Pipe Cleaner Scribble Craft for Kids
Supplies Needed:
- Pipe cleaners
- Googly Eyes (optional)
- Scribble Stickers
- Scissors
- Tacky Glue
- The Book, I'm Not Just A Scribble by Diane Alber
What do you:
To begin, take your pipe cleaner and bend and twist it into a random shape of a scribble. Add on more pipe cleaners, if needed. Ours needed at least two.Once you have a good size of scribble you can add on your arms, and then legs. Then, take your googly eyes, or Scribble Stickers and add your cute face!Add a bit of tacky glue to the back of your googly eyes as well as the stickers, because the stickers will not stay on long without it.
Your Pipe Cleaner Scribble is coming along...
