Carbonara Shells with Breaded Chicken Recipe
Good evening everyone! I wanted to share with you how to make Carbonara Shells Pasta with Breaded Chicken Breast Strips! This is the latest variation to my last dinner recipe, Chicken Fingers + Penne Alfredo and it was a huge hit, so for tonights Sunday dinner, we have tried a NEW Knorr Sauce--- the Carbonara, and it was pretty yummy! ? We also used chicken breast instead of chicken thighs, and cut them into thin strips and breaded them up as my kids love this, it's the only way they like to eat chicken these days. So without further ado Here is the recipe! Carbonara Shells with Breaded Chicken! Let's get dinner on the table. ?
Carbonara Shells with Breaded Chicken Recipe
1 package of shells pasta1 package of Knorr Carbonara Sauce3 Chicken Breasts1 cup of Italian bread crumbs2 eggs, beatenDirections with photos:Boil your pasta until desired doneness. We like to butter them once they have been strained and rinsed. Some of my kids still only prefer buttered noodles over sauce on noodles, so I keep my bases covered.Slice up your chicken breast, you can do this however you prefer, we sliced it long ways this time. Dip it in the beaten egg, then cover with Italian bread crumbs.Place them on a plate, while you prep the others and get your pan and veg oil really hot. Pour enough oil on the pan to cover the bottom of the pan, but not too much for it to be drowning in oil.Once your pan + oil are hot, use your tongs to place your prepped chicken strips to cook. Flip them when you see the edges starting to brown nicely.Continue frying them until they are all done, and place them on a plate to cool slightly. While you are waiting for your chicken to fry, get out your saucepan, or pot and begin melting butter. Add the Carbonara sauce mix from Knorr and add the milk slowly and bring to a boil your Carbonara sauce.Once everything is cooked up, place our noodles into the sauce! I put about 5 large ladle spoon fulls of noodles into the sauce and kept the rest of the noodles we left with butter. We added carrot sticks to this meal, for a veggie side, but feel free to grill up some other veggies ? that you like!Bring the noodles and chicken to the table, and ? enjoy! Thanks for visiting today, guys!
